Arbor Day Garden Expo & Tree Giveaway
This annual event features tree and plant care lectures, free hands-on Hawaiian cultural activities, conservation organizations, plants for sale, and a giveaway of more than 1,800 Hawaiian trees.

The highlight of the event, each year we give away over 1,800 trees, courtesy of our corporate sponsors. *Limit one per person.

With exhibitors offering activities and crafts, there is something everyone, no matter the age.

Learn how to plant your new tree! Demonstrations run throughout the day and include proper tree placement, planting, care, and trimming.

Haleakala Conservancy: We will be discussing the projects we support in the Haleakalā National Park to preserve our native endemic forests.
Haleakala National Park: Information and education on Haleakala National Park and its cultural and natural resources with brochures, maps, props and activities like our Junior Ranger program for kids and families.

Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project & The Alala Project: We will have an educational/informational booth about MFBRP, the Alala Project and the birds we work with.

Maui Hui Malama: Free art activity for keiki and giveaways and Youth Entrepreneurship Program craft items.

Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project: Hats and Tees
Mauna Kahalawai Watershed Partnership: Info and activities about the value of our native forests and watersheds, threats to these resources, the work we do to protect our ecosystems, and ways people can get involved, including volunteer opportunities and job openings.
